Throughout the past year, having a training academy has been trying and difficult. Not only for myself, but for the entire education team. Being the sole training academy for Pure Nails means we get hundreds of emails a day about courses, and therefore the waiting list was piling extremely high. After a Zoom meeting with the team, we decided to explore online training for some of our courses where the students are already qualified but wanted to learn more or buff up their skills. So, we introduced our conversion, nail art and workshops as online courses, and it went crazy!
We originally started this to get through the backlog of students we had waiting for our return, but this had an adverse effect; we had more students enquiring about our online courses and have ended up twice as busy!
Prior to the online course training, we email the student their conversion booklet and cover it again with practical application via Zoom. So far, it’s been a great success.
Both educators and students are having a great time and we have received amazing feedback. We only wish we had started online training sooner! We hope to keep online training as an option even after we return to teaching in person as many students find it more convenient.
Within the Zoom online training course, we cover everything you would do in a normal training class room:
- Preparation
- Dehydration
- Application
- Finishing
After each online course, the students are provided with our contact details so they can contact myself or their Educator if they have any issues. We provide 24/7 support to our students which we like to pride ourselves on. Each student is also sent their Pure Nails certificate as a keepsake for attending the online course.
It has been an amazing start to 2021 so far and we can’t wait to see where this year takes us in the education world.
